Did you lose your mind over the Nicki Minaj “Anaconda” video like we did? Then you’ll lose your mind over her 2014 VMA performance on Sunday (August 24), too.
Following Ariana Grande’s performance of “Break Free,” and just
moments before joining Ariana and Jessie J (and holding her dress
together as it seemed eager to pop open) to perform “Bang Bang” and
complete a show-opening medley, Nicki dropped jaws with her live
“Anaconda” rendition.
Like a large portion of the official video, the VMA version of the buzzing
The Pink Print
single was jungle-themed, as the Young Money MC emerged donning a green
sequenced two-piece and body paint. Rapping her verses with the
flawless precision that makes her one of the game’s best, she also
showed off the dance moves that remind why she’s a top-tier pop star.
Surrounded by some camo-clad dancers and a couple intensely strong
gymnasts hanging from rings, Nicki rehashed the “Anaconda” workout —
which debuted online last week before quickly taking the world by storm.
The butt-lifts, the 180-degree leg swings, the general ass-shaking —
yeah, it was all there.
Oh, she also got humped by one of her dancers.
Warning: Watching the performance may cause you to look like Drake.
